Challenge week is upon us once again here at JSS!
Challenges are some of my favorite ways to get out of my normal routine and shake things up a bit. I’m looking forward to participating this week with y’all.
This week’s challenge is straightforward: No restaurants or take-out for a week.
Every meal you eat has to be prepared by you at home. Only things you bought from the grocery store count.
Bonus points if you avoid processed foods or pre-packaged meals and only eat whole foods!
Going a week without eating out isn’t anything too ground breaking but for some it may be quite challenging, especially if you’re busy and not used to preparing food. Use this as a spur to get back onto the path!
A really nice perk of foregoing things you’re used to doing is reminding yourself how much you enjoy these things when you begin to do them again. I rarely go out to eat but when I do I usually go to nicer places and tend to enjoy the experience A LOT more than if I were to go multiple times a week.
Now that the holiday season is wrapped up, I feel a need to detox a bit. Especially when it comes to food and drinks, I like to chill out a bit in January and try to get back on track (assuming you fell off your plans in Nov-Dec).
That’s the challenge for this week. Short but simple. Please reach out to me at seth@juststopspending.com and let me know if you’re going to partake or once you’ve finished. I’d love to hear your thoughts and experience with the challenge.
One more step towards good habits through correct actions. Best of luck dear readers and remember, Fortune favors the bold!
P.S. what does “Fortune favors the bold” have to do with this? Every action has a natural consequence. You are the bold here, taking action on these challenges. Since you’re making correct decisions towards money, Fortune is going to reward you with the gift of savings, which is the natural consequence of those decisions.
Here are ways to support, stay in touch, and work together:
I look forward to speaking with you and helping guide you down this life changing path.
In health and in wealth,
Seth
